Hi! I’m Sage Dunn-Krahn (they), a Cascadian illustrator, comics creator and playwright currently based in London, UK.

I make traditional watercolour and mixed media illustrations, inspired by folklore, comics, modern art, traditional cultures and religious art. Traditional mediums are an important element of my process, as they often produce unexpected results and ‘mistakes’ which I then have to incorporate. Working intuitively with the world, rather than having absolute control, is at the heart of my artistic practice.

My academic work focuses on medieval gender diversity, Norse Mythology, fanfiction, and medieval art.

I am currently writing a play about fans.
